Set the wide view against the detail
Alternate an image of the landscape with one of the textures, the arches or the relationship between walkway and wall. The bridge tells a different story when it appears framed by rock. Photographing details also helps you remember aspects of the route that a panorama leaves out.
Work with the light you find
Areas of shade and sunlit walls can share the same frame. Adapt your photograph to that difference and take a moment to look before you shoot. You do not need to leave the path or approach unmarked areas to find an interesting composition.
Keep the way clear
Follow the staff’s instructions and do not hold up other visitors to get a photograph. The rules restrict tripods and items that obstruct the way; drones are not permitted. If you have a professional filming or photography requirement, check the conditions with the team in advance.
